About Our Mixed Animal Care in Coshocton, OH

Led by Dr. Amity Wise, the Animal Medical & Surgical Center of Coshocton combines thorough, evidence-based medicine for pets and large animals with the warmth and accessibility you’d expect from a practice rooted in the community.

Our Story, Our Practice, Our Community

The Animal Medical & Surgical Center of Coshocton has deep roots in this region—and under Dr. Wise’s ownership since March 2026, it’s entering an exciting new chapter. Dr. Wise came to Coshocton with a loyal following built on years of hands-on mixed animal practice in the Holmes County area. Her clients didn’t just stay in touch—they followed her here to continue receiving her dedicated care, including expertise in specialized services like spinal taps, equine reproductive care, and large animal wellness.

Our practice currently serves dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, sheep, and goats—and we’re growing. Over the next several years, we’re working toward a fuller mixed animal practice that reflects the agricultural and rural character of Coshocton County and the communities around it, including Millersburg, Fresno, Baltic, Warsaw, and West Lafayette.

We’re not here to be the biggest practice in the region. For us, it’s more than enough just to be the most trusted one.

“I would like to express my most sincere thanks. They caringly helped me with my old man. “My boy dog”. They were more than responsible with the price. When everyone else I called was at the least almost twice as much. Exemplary professionals! Thank you!”
